The Information Technology Act, 2000 provides for use of Digital Signatures on the documents submitted in electronic form in order to ensure the security and authenticity of the documents filed electronically. This is the only secure and authentic way that a document can be submitted electronically. As such, all filings done by the companies under MCA21 e-Governance programme are required to be filed with the use of Digital Signatures by the person authorised to sign the documents.

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has stipulated a Class-II or above category certificate for e-filings under MCA21. A person who already has the specified DSC for any other application can use the same for filings under MCA21 and is not required to obtain a fresh DSC

Class 2 Digital signature certificates are issued to Individual or organization for various purposes. Class 2 digital signatures for individuals is personal certificate that provides second highest level of assurance within the RCAI hierarchy setup by CCA ( Controller of Certifying Authorities) in India which is mainly used for MCA21, ROC, Income Tax e-filing, EPF, Banking and to sign a word or excel file, sign e-mail sent through Outlook and many more !!

Class 2 Digital Signature are used by Chartered Accountants or Company Secretary for their clients, for himself, for existing directors, for new company incorporation, for practicing CA or CS or ICWA.

CLASS 2 DIGITAL SIGNATURE CERTIFICATE:

1. Application Form duly filled in with blue Inc. (Please find application form in Downloads Link)

2. Applicant’s Self Attested Passport Size Photograph.

3. PAN  Card Photo Copy.

4. Documents as proof of address (Any one):

          a) Aadhaar.

b) Telephone Bill.

c) Electricity Bill.

d) Water Bill.

e) Gas connection.

f) Bank Statements signed by the bank.

g) Service Tax/VAT Tax/Sales Tax registration certificate.

h) Driving License (DL)/ Registration certificate (RC).

i) Voter ID Card.

j) Passport.

k) Property Tax/ Corporation/ Municipal Corporation Receipt.

IMPORTANT NOTES :

With the above documents the following conditions will apply.

I. Validation of signature on application forms: At least one identity or address proof should contain signature of applicant. If absent, subscribers should submit their signatures validated by the bank where they hold a bank account.

 II. Validity of the Address Proof: In case of any utility bills like electricity, water, gas, and telephone bill, in the name of the applicant , the recent proof, but not earlier than 3 months from the date of application should be attached.The Address in the Address Proof Should match to the Address filled in the Application Form.

 III. All signatures including DSC Applicant and authorized person should be with blue ink only.

IV. Copy of  supporting document(s) should be attested by applicant and also should be attested by any one of the following:

• Group ‘A’ /Group ‘B’ Gazetted officers.

• Bank Manager/Authorised executive of the Bank.

• Post Master.

V. The Name, designation, office address and contact number of the attesting officer should be clearly visible.

VI. The mobile number and E-mail ID of DSC applicant in the DSC application form is mandatory and should be unique.
